My original post was discussing the viability of the 86 as your only vehicle with kids in response to another forum member's message.

I dunno where you are going with this bud, I'm not here to argue with you...

Just depends on how much you are able to deal with on a day to day basis.
It's not that bad IMO.

I had an '08 Mazda 6 before this and traded it in when I bought my 2014 BRZ Limited. I love it! Yeah the back seats and trunk are a little small, but I can make it work.

Luckily my wife has a grand cherokee, so if we really need extra room we can drive that. 99% of the time though my twin works just fine.

We have twin 4 year olds, so if we need to, we could put them in the back. They're tiny lol.

One thing I'm looking forward to is not having a lot of people ask to ride with me to lunch since they can't fit in the back haha.

Amen. I don't enjoy playing taxi, and 2 doors with barely usable back seats helps dissuade people from the idea. All I need is space for me and my girlfriend.

Agree. Although it's wife and dog.

Prefer the dog in the car as she causes less damage than the wife.

this is the reason I love my 2006 mini cooper s. People ask for rides for things, I tell them the car and it's cramped at best. I gets me out of driving idiot guys around. Petite ladies fit fine, three of them two weekends ago. Small four seater sport cars are great filters for passengers of choice.

My friend has the same generation Cooper S. He managed to fit an over six foot passenger, and a nearly 7 foot passenger, in his car at the same time. And they weren't totally crammed in, so it's deceptively roomy. But let people keep thinking it doesn't accommodate passengers in back well, lol.

exactly! And, if you are chilling out in the car, push the front seats all the way up and it is huge in the back seats and very high head room.

Head room is only issue I feel with the 86, the foot and width and femur length space are all reasonable. Too bad the passenger seat is not height adjustable. I saw a thread on buying a UK/Japanese front seat and putting it there, the mechanics. If that could be done, it would be the only modification to the car I would do probably.

I've thought about doing the same thing. Would make it easier for shorter passengers to get in and out if the seat could be raised. I get a lot of complaints about how low the car is to sit in (they just don't understand how good a thing that is )

my goth girl friends have platform boots. They cant squish them under that seat. A rare problem for some, but my only problem. I have no other reason for the backseat aside from bringing some club ladies back home as trains are dumb at 3-4AM

if i could jack up the seat, the smaller of the tall shoes could fit. Nothing fits the huge ankle breakers though. I guess I could give them slippers for the car. might be a nice tradition. asian cleanliness.
