Random Thoughts - Part Deux [NO POLITICS]

So, I'm fairly... obsessed with Metal Gear Solid. Have played all the games in the series with the exception of MG 1 and 2 (they were a bit before my time). Since being heartbroken over the killing of the canonical storyline (fuck you, Metal Gear Survival) I've spent a lot of time brushing up on the lore/ convuluted storyline that is MG.

What if the game isn't about snake? Maybe it's actually about Ocelot and he's just using snake as a tool to change the world? Snake was never the hero, Ocelot was. Or at least he was an anti-villain.

Back in the day, I bought 2 of these Hi-Boy sprayers out of a farm equipment junk yard to be used on the agricultural research station I managed.

I tore both of them apart and used the parts to make one highly modified sprayer, then junked the remaining parts.

Come inventory time, a couple of bean counting slicks from our San Francisco office came down to take inventory. They wanted to see two sprayers. I explained what I had done ...... they insisted that I show them two sprayers or a bill of sale. I "asked" them to leave my research station ...... I had work to do.

When they "reported" me to the Director of Research, he threw their report in the trash can and told them to quit bothering me.

I was never super into the series but I could easily see something like that, especially under Kojima but still could happen. MGS has always left you in a spot not certain who the good and bad guys really were at the end of the day

I'm probably wrong but I thought Kojima said he was done. What is Konami to do? It wouldn't really be MGS without Kojima at the helm.

As @finch1750 said, he got pushed out.

From what I recall, the short of the long is that Kojima went a bit (maybe a lot) over budget on TPP and wasn't moving fast enough, and that may have been the straw that broke the camels back.

There was a good portion of content cut from TPP, including confronting Eli after he stole sahelanthropus, not to mention, there was supposed to be 5 chapters in the game.

Any way you want to cut it, the game series is one of the best of all time, and I want more of what it had to offer. I'm deeply connected to the series emotionally, as MGS1 is what really got me into gaming and I've been a seriously loyal fan ever since.

Soft touch aka. rubbery surface. Basically what plastic dip is trying to replicate or the lid of a ThinkPad for example.

You should be glad you didn't grow up with Konami games of the 80's. Nothing but frustration and lots of swearing.

Every now and then I play MGS1 and every time it's a god damn mistake. What a beautiful game. Everything about it is amazing. If konami were to remaster any game, I'd just about cum in my pants for a remaster of MGS1 with the fox engine.

Oh idk about a wrap like. Hydro coating is permanant but i dont think its rubbery. And dip holds well but the problem is most people dont put enough layers on. Theres a couple a owners with dipped cars that have held and my wheels are fine minus curbing two of them

I thought it was about Quiet. If not, it should be. Or maybe just about Stefanie Joosten.

I think someday you should try Metal Gear on NES just for kicks you might find it was way ahead of its time.

Me I want Konami to remake a modern version of the Jackal.
