Actually it looks about right to me, that's not a lot for the miles. The catch can is a mishimoto, I have an intake, stage 2 OFT and full catless. That plastic cup isn't much bigger than a shot glass

As for cup holders, the one in the door works fine, since I have one of those fancy Contigo cups that you need to press a button for any liquid to come out.

And, for the past few days I've been working on getting this Android HU (Joying Universal 7") installed. It looks awesome, but I need to get the radio trim filed down a bit on the top and bottom of the opening for it to fit right, then figure out what to do with the sides. What a pain this turned out to be. The wiring harness was labelled wrong for the door speakers, ended up being power antenna from the metra harness and parking brake from the HU harness. Then I didn't clue in that the antenna needed power until this morning, so now I have more than 1 radio station coming in. Waiting on a BT OBD2 dongle and a connection for the USB down in the coin holder thing, and then I'll never need to fiddle with anything behind the HU ever again.

I just can't hardly believe you really did that to your car's dash ...... and then left it there after you came to from your blackout ......

And what IS the length of that yellow extension cord(s) ??..... I hope you don't plan on plugging anything but a 60W bulb at the end of it .....

That's all for now!

I'm glad you're back ...... I've missed picking on you ........

The stickers are cool, old man!

The yellow extension cord is a mess of 6 or 7 cords all wrapped up together. Funny what happens when you grow up with a dad who is an electrician and learn what's ok, and what's not. I use 2 or 3 for the pressure washer when I hand wash the car

So ....... you admit you intentionally put those stickers on there ...... and it wasn't on a dare .......??

Oh, I get it, you strung 2 or 3 of those long extension cords together, plugged in your pressure washer, burnt out the motor ...... THEN you had to hand wash the car .......??

Hey, I just turned 74 ....... so ....so.....so ......I forgot what I was going to say ......

Breaking in new gears

Finally installed my new differential with OEM 4.56 ring and pinion set; breaking it in before the fun begins...

The good:
Absolutely no gear noise! No leaks!
Freeway RPMs are not an issue (3k is 62mph, 65mph is 3200)
Honestly fears of this change are totally irrational given that the 2017 has gone to 4.30- the difference between 4.3 and 4.56 is hardly noticeable.

The bad:
As expected the gear indicator is incorrect
Beginning to wonder if I should have gone to 4.88
I have to wait until I can really push the car... patience is overrated!

If you enable the gear display the ECU will compute what gear you are in via a lookup table matching engine rpm with wheel speed. When you change the differential gear ratio the lookup table is wrong...

When I am in gears 4-6 the indicated gear is off by one

4th shows as 3rd
5th shows as 4th
6th shows as 5th

Maybe he means the shift light
Edit. Apparently not... I assumed it used a switch to tell it what gear it was in

I don't use the indicator so I guess if it's a problem, just turn it off

Only for someone not familiar with the car who also relies on the display more than the physical orientation of the shifter...which is a personal problem at that point.
