Pulling off the 86Drive/Norcal86 stickers would be hard for me.

Btw, you plan to trade the car in or sell privately? Maybe keep it in the family lol

Whatever you do avoid being bored. That's when I tend to make impulse car part buys

I think its because its more of a "personal touch" that made the car mine. It still looked like my car after the part out (just didn't feel/drive like it) but staring at it after taking off the stickers made it look like any other blue BRZ.

It was extra hard taking off that 86drive sticker. Funny enough, that thing was a huge PITA to take off! All the thin sections kept breaking, needed a knife to scrape off all the little tiny individual pieces (like the head lights, etc) and it even left some adhesive residue on the window. Its like it was fighting me, kicking and screaming lol I might just stick another 86drive sticker on my next car haha

I was planning on trading-in the car but the appraisal the dealer gave me was a lot lower than what I was expecting. I'm taking it to carmax tonight to see what they would give me. I'm also planning on trying out those car selling services like shift, beepi, roadster and vroom. I like the idea of "keeping it in the family" since I'd love to buy it back a few years from now, but I'd rather keep it in MY family now tbh...

Haha. yeah, mine tore and I had to replace it. It took forever lol. Stock BRZ and use the part out money to fund a used family car. Nothing wrong with that Just explain to MrsFlip that it isn't financially sounds to sell it due to such a low trade in and how good MPG it gets now that it is stock

Now you won't be spotted anymore either, for whatever amount of time you still have the car. People will just be like, oh it's another stock blue BRZ...

No body spots me here in Sac anyway, I don't even think anybody knows me here lol

At least I still have my gold painted stock wheels, although I think that maybe part of the reason for the low trade-in

They are all only on FB so I doubt it. Not showing proper respect to an OG like that

Haha, they are an "interesting" bunch but everybody I've met in person have been cool, so I can't hate too hard. Used to be from Oakland (Alameda) and just moved to east Sac.

So was at Carmax last night to get the BRZ appraised. The place was busy so it took about an hour or so, but I had time to kill before class so I went ahead and walked around the massive car lot to check out anything that looked interesting. Here are my observations:

-Smart fortwo's are hilariously small
-I want a Cayman really bad
-Fiat 500's have ridiculous head room
-Miata clubs have the window switches on the center console
-All fiestas come with the rental car smell
-A Mustang has the same size interior as the BRZ
-There is no dignified way to get out of a Corvette
-Challengers have lazyboys for front seats
-an STI hatchback doesn't have as much rear cargo space as an 05 wrx wagon (but it does have just as sloppy of a shifter)
-Camaros have surprisingly interesting interior (which is good because you can't see out of it)
-a 2015 F350 costs as much as a 2004 aston
-I would DD a Dodge Cummins Laramie just to (literally) climb in and out of it every morning because it makes me feel extra manly

Carmax gave me a slightly higher appraisal than the dealer trade-in so my car just might end up in this same lot. Unfortunately, that means it will also end up in some punk kids driveway...

How did you remember all these things? Were you walking around taking hand written notes on a parchment with a quill fountain pen and monocle??
