I don't get the manual elitism considering most if not all high performance cars nowadays come with paddle shifters standard. Sure a manual may be more exciting to drive to some but you can't argue with the fact that a human will never make use of the power of a modern performance vehicle. Hell, even sportbikes are doing away with the traditional manual transmission and have switched to quickshifters that take the clutch totally out of the equation except to get moving.
