Delirious Anticipation - Waiting for my car

I don't see how you guys do it. My car has been on order since Dec 27th and I'm going bonkers over here. I've been to all the forums, I've read soo many threads and the like, I watch every youtube video I can for the car and bless her my wife wants me to just shut up. Seriously, I catch myself hitting the refresh button sometimes. What is happening to my life? I've already been to a few of the major sites we would get our parts from and made future wishlists...

Please post in this thread something that can help me stay sane till then? BTW I've been told late Feb.

Download/install Chrome.

Disconnect your internet.

Try to load a page in Chrome. You should see a line drawing of a dinosaur in a desert on the error page.

Hit the space bar to start the dinosaur running.

Hit the space bar to make the dinosaur jump over cactuses.

I specifically remember when I went to the dealership, there was a black 2017 premium but then I thought to myself, "eh might as well wait and get exactly what I want". So I placed an order which said March. Then I realized I wanted the performance pack and now I had to reorder which pushed it back to April.

Everyday I wish I took that one on the lot. It was one of the last in the bay area.

Send help.

I feel your pain brotha. Been waiting for the Series.Yellow since they announced it back in June '16. My ETA is early February. I truly hope this 8 month wait will be worth my while.

Thank you at the very least this will be helpful when my crappy router drops my IP or times out.

Oh man guys, how are you doing it? I'm what 2 weeks in? I have friends and family that I can talk to about the car and it's always difficult to talk to them about it. They are like, "How is your RBZ coming along?" so then I go cry for a while and then come back and correct them on their spelling. You gotta set em straight or they just make fun of you for life.

Which BRZ did you order?

I placed my order on Oct 23, just picked it up yesterday. After the first couple weeks you'll forget it about it.

I have the SH model as well but it's been putting me through hoops lately. Cat back has been throwing codes left and right and hasn't been a cheap fix. It runs rich and blows too much smoke after the CEL comes on and most likely the rings are getting worn. I've taken care of it well since I got it but I can't say much for the previous owner. Even with the clear coat fading away and those side window trims losing their rubbery texture she is still beautiful to me but I can't run it hard like I would love to. The fun is in the VTAC ya know.

I saw your recent post (when you got your car) and was super excited for you! I ordered 2017 CWP BRZ with the PP and a couple of other options.

Makes me miss my 4th Gen, which is one of the main reasons I'm getting a BRZ. I sold it after I got my '14 STI, which was fun, and powerful, but lacked that certain feeling. I've since sold the STI and am awaiting my Yellow next month.

I saw the car development story in 2010 and promptly forgot it existed. Walked into the showroom just killing time while my old car was being serviced next door in 2015 and saw my car sitting there. Looked it over, haggled a price, bought it and picked it up 2 days later. Boy was the wife surprised.

I've been looking at the twins since 2012 I think but kept telling myself that they weren't worth it just because we weren't in a good situation to own a new one. This happened before we even got her car so it was still hard to see that I would get one anytime soon. Next month her car will be completely paid off (we got it brand new in dec 2013) and much to my disbelief my wife agreed back in October 2016 that maybe it's time we look for me one as well. I knew what my options were but it was difficult looking at any other car than this one and to be honest I'm getting tired of repairing or getting my car repaired all the time. I need something for a while that just works.

I wasn't even shopping for a new car since my Lancer was only two years old. I knew as soon as I saw the FRS that I was not leaving without it though. It was literally the very first one I had ever seen in either real life or pictures (other than concept renders in 2010). I didn't even know they had actually made it to production.
