Received my $500 supercharger rebate today, seems like Edelbrock pulled through when it came to processing the rebate.

There was even an issue of missing an item on the rebate and an Edelbrock representative contacted me via email to request a screen capture of the missing information so that my rebate would be successfully processed.

Damn that's pretty quick, when did you submit your rebate?

Running in this configuration, I have had issues with a fluctuating idle since the supercharger was installed back in March. Also, when I accelerated away in first, I felt like I had to give a little extra gas to prevent bogging down and then release slightly for a split second and then get back on it again, which took a while for me to get used to.

Of course, like others, I wondered if this was a vacuum leak or a characteristic of the CARB tune. I probably should mention that I am using Shell 93 octane gas.

Recently, Neal at The Racers Line suggested I consider the Delicious tune. The first version (21.0) has completely eradicated the idle issue and the bogging down, so I assume that means the CARB tune was the issue.

I am going through fine tuning now to get it as good as we can, but even the basic Delicious tune solved my issues.

I am not saying this is a solution for those who see the idle fluctuation problems, but it worked for me. Also, I wonder if Edelbrock need to look into this a little more closely. Maybe, there are some cars out there where the CARB tune has it's issues, but not with others, which feedback from owners would suggest.
Your issues sound similar to mine but I don't think I have issues with idle(at least I don't think, I honestly know 0 about cars lmao). I am using shell 93 in Florida, and I have a custom tune from a local tuner. My car is also all stock engine wise besides spec-d exhaust.
I also notice it only happens once the engine has warmed up. On short trips it doesn't do it. Only when I have been driving for about 20 minutes+

Hi VeganGirl...So we may have similar issues, but not the same as my issues occurred consistently at all times in all conditions...Never stalled, though.

Mine has never stalled either, is that possible to stall while driving? And being in an automatic?

When it does happen I notice it's around 40-45mph at 1500-2k RPM.

The first thing I would do is take some logs and have your tuner take a look. Did they do a street tune or just a dyno tune? It might be worth it going back and have them ride along while you try to replicate it since it sounds like you can consistently make it happen. good luck!

Shameless plug:

The BigFatFamily is growing, so its time for a larger car. The Edelbrock was dead nuts reliable and was my daily driver. Can't speak highly enough of its quality and performance, with CARB to boot. Delicious Tuning and Sakou Michi were also a pleasure to work with. Definitely a worth while upgrade and completed my "BRZ STI" build.

Some Edelbrock specific parts coming off my car:
  • Delicious D-box for Edelbrock SC - $120, $100 if bundled with supercharger
  • Custom oil cooler set-up for Edelbrock SC. "Stealth" location behind front bumper vent bezel to not block the intercooler (bezel included). Includes all lines and fittings - $250
***RacerX oil cooler plate - $60
    ***Setrab 619 oil cooler core - $120
***Ptuning smaller wind shield washer tank - $90
  • Saikou Michi catch can, PCV side, lines modified to work with Edelbrock, but includes extra lines so it can work with any application- $70

This is not definitve but.....

I just bought a whole Edelbrock/delicious tune package from Counterspace Garage.

I dont think Mike would have let me do that without warning if he was aware of any hardware issues. Then again, maybe none are known at this time. Again, just sharing...Edelbrock should be the one to answer this i suppose.

I'm probably wrong, but I believe there isn't a CARB tune for 2017 yet, but if you are going Delicious, you should be fine.
