They may have given the PPs a different build number series and that would let us know roughly how many they have done so far. I don't think they will have their own numbers since it is an option package not a special edition but you never know. Of course if just a general build number then we won't have a clue. The build date will be on a black sticker in the driver's door and the sequence number is the last set of digits in the VIN. None of this really means much but I am curious and I am sure others would be as well.
Mine has a MFG Date of 11/16...the last six digits of my VIN are: 601145

Thanks! So with the sample size of one we know that they didn't even build them until November so the Jan arrival dates for the first batch line up perfect.

Here I'll double your sample size! My last 6 of the vin are: 601251. The vehicle order status report has a schedule date of 12/28/2016 and estimated arrival of 1/19/2017.

On long island, NY, the salespeople at just about every sales job are vague carbon copies of one another.

It would be beyond comprehension to get from them VON's and VIN's. It would be beyond belief to consider them willing to notify anyone unless the car was sitting for four days after their weekend, in the lot, dusty and with rain spots. I cannot imagine having to deal with any of these 1950's era car dealers and get a VON or a VIN /estimated time of delivery. They all, but one person out of several hundred, think the BRZ is a stupid crap car for idiots. They would not even sell me one, only one was willing.

in light of this, is there any way to get information or whatever about my vin/von/estimated delivery date?

Long island sucks balls.

If you can't get it from your salesperson you can call subaru corporate direct, their number is earlier in this thread, something like 1800-SUBARU-5 (or 3?).

Wait actually if you don't even have a VON, then you might not be able to get the VIN if they have one.

May want to check with him. He ordered a Yellow, but may have insight on getting info?
