wow that really looks great. Too bad they killed it with the engine choice. 144 hp just isn't going to fly in the USA, unless the car is magically 2000lbs.

^^ Why not? Subie is selling a metric shit ton of Crosstreks around here.

I would love to be able to consider something with a bit of space, that looks good, handles well, at least has a decent fake awd system, is somewhat economical (cost and mpg) and most importantly has some BALLS. Unfortunately that combo doesn't really exist.

Read a few European reviews, and the story seems familiar: an excellent chassis with great handling, let down by the engine choices.

Hard to get all those things together. Think the new alltrack and awd sportwagons from vw are a win on the handling, space, and with the tunability of the 1.8 going from 170hp/184ftlb to 250hp/280ftlb with a 93 octane apr stg 1. Pretty killer combo for under $30k

TRD Puts Its Spin On Toyota's C-HR For 2017 Tokyo

C-HR 'AGGRESSIVE STYLE'

The "aggressive" version of the C-HR comes with a custom front bumper, LED daytime running lights, custom rear diffuser, extended side skirts for a track-focused look, and a lip spoiler on the tailgate.

C-HR 'EXTREME STYLE'

The more "extreme" version of the C-HR looks menacing in its own way, boasting black wheel arches, red mud flaps, an imposing front spoiler and a set of 16" alloys as standard.

Other features include sports seat covers, a motion control beam for the suspension system, tire pressure monitoring, start/stop system and door handle protectors.

They both are also dropped a bit (maybe an inch or less). Wondering if TRD will be putting out springs for it. I agree think it looks best on the white kitted modelllista model but best with the stock wheels.

Just a tad more power would be nice though. IIRC the North American engine is ending up in a lot of Toyota products so perhaps something will come to the CHR.

I have to admit, that rally version looks cool, almost Dakar.
