Thanks for the explaination! That probably explains the E85 smell everytime I startup the car in the morning, since I have one of my crankcase hoses vented to the atmosphere.

That is a hell of a necro you have managed. I suspect in the three plus years since this thread started most people have got on top of the poor starting that E85 can cause.
