Yeah I just bid whatever I'm willing to pay, take it or leave it. It does seem like sometimes it gets bid up and then relisted though, but maybe I'm just paranoid.

I get some level of evil pleasure out of being the spoiler in this case. When I've placed what I consider a reasonable high bid on something and I can look at the history and see someone bid little increments trying to sneak up on me then finally gave up, it makes me smile.

I remember back when EBay first showed up and it was pretty much just individuals selling I would sit up until the wee hours of the morning just to out bid somebody by 25cents and win an auction because nobody else was up. I got a shitload of old model kits that way. Once it took off and all the different bid apps came out that method didn't work anymore. Sort of sucks really.
Now of course the vast majority of the stuff I want isn't being sold by individuals but by massive online stores so the once very rare "Buy It Now" option has pretty much become the norm. It has been months and months since I last actually bid on something from a private seller.

When i was into TCGs I used to buy a lot from private sellers but even stores would sell lots with commonly needed stuff that wasnt worth a lot. Could pick up $5-10 in value for 99¢ from my favorite retailer when nobody else bid on it

Now I just try best offers on most buy it now stuff til someone accepts a super cheap sale lol

You gotta be kidding me! The ¢ makes the post unquotable? Really?

Yes I frequently attempt the best offer option but most of the places I buy from just won't go for it.

Sat. Morning I went for a walk with my dog La La at around 9:00, by 1:00 it looked like the second pic. Not much snow for some parts, but at 750 foot elevation in Oregon, it is quite a bit... Hope you all had a safe and happy weekend!

Geeez Leo where did you go for a walk? A radioactive wasteland?

I spent two hours blowing snow in -10F wearing a freakin' hoodie and running shoes.

It was only 19 degrees, but I had just gone for a ride on my Polaris, and the wind chill is crazy cold! You really need a face mask to ride comfortably. That is why I have the goggles too.
