I think you are probably seeing invoice for the Premium, but if they give you that price then that is awesome.

I agree, and keep waiting for my guy to inform me otherwise. But this is the 5th car i have bought from this dealership and salesman. I consider him a friend at this point. We both love and mod Subies. I always get invoice, but there seems to be a disparity. I bought my last BRZ (it was a Premium) at at invoice. The MSRP was right $25,700.00. Invoice was $23,700.00 and dealer hold back of $500.00. Which they gave me as well, since it was a 15MY and they had two 16s on the lot. So I get that.

But, him and i looked at the computer, and thats what it showed. I keep waiting for bad news. I think the dealership, my saleman and myself are going to be in for a rude awakening soon. But, they will be as fair as they can be, and I will be reasonable. Its probably one of the best working relationships i have had with a dealer.

The invoice that brzaapi got is similar to what happened with me. Only difference is his invoice is like what mine would be without the PP. with the PP it's a bit more but still below the invoice price I was told. I think that was around 26,800 or 27,000-ish without PP and then an additional 1100 or whatever for PP. (I got PP for slightly cheaper than its invoice amount though)

those numbers are quite correct. Exact I believe to the dollar.

I bought mine with a few extra things for 28,900. WIthout those it would have been 28,560. Limited 17 mt with performance package. I was quoted 28,660, i knocked off another 100, it seemed rough for a simple 100 dollar reduction. Getting it in the 27,000's would be a very big discount for a car that is NOT in stock. Stock.... nothing is comparable as there are many reasons for deep discounts on stocked cars. For an ordered car on Long Island, NY, I feel -$1100 off of MSRP was fair. There are no dealer rebates or dealer incentives on the car at all.

The NYC market must be expensive. This is the last time I'll say it, but in the DC area you can get under invoice without even trying. The first dealer I emailed offered me under invoice right off the bat.

Yeah this happened to me in my area too. Might've helped that I ordered the day after Black Friday but I got a pretty steep discount.

life is ultra expensive here. I would not ask for base base base price of a car, I would seriously question the sale if it was like below Invoice on an ordered car. The dealership has about 8 cars on the lot, and has various garages nearby. The rent is so high, one only gets killer deals on lot cars here normally.

Well, we got the mistake worked out. We dont what happened, likely we had the wrong screen up for a second. But the GM shook his head and said there is no way 25,800 was right. So they went and looked again. Yeah, 28,500 is closer to my invoice price.

So damn, I am not getting the deal of the century. But hey, I will have a PP BRZ in less than a month and a smile on my face. Works for a car guy like me.

Thats great. But how much under invoice will they go, cause travel adds up. Not that i wouldnt enjoy a trip back to DC, I still have friends there. But for me it would be at least $250, to fly out and an 17.5 hour drive back with only 3 quick gas stops on the way. Its not a fun drive. This is assuming i dont use a hotel at all in my trip. Minimum would cost me around $400-$500. And throw in hotel costs, maybe cab fare, maybe a second hotel night. I have traveled a lot for cars, money sneaks in on you. But if they offer me at least a $1000 under invoice it could be worth it.

But to include my time, my wife being mad at me, and just the general pain in the ass of the trip....I would like to see closer to 2k under invoice.

My BRZ just came in this morning. What was interesting is I thought in the US they were coming out in black rims in the PP, but mine has the gun metal ones on.

New here so I can't figure out how to get the picture smaller. http://i.imgur.com/u0knyqS.jpg

Should pass inspection today and I'll be driving tomorrow, I'm really excited.

WE HAVE A WINNER! First posted as received.
The gunmetal looks better than the black for the wheels anyway.

Woah, you are the first. I think I like gunmetal wheels better... but it does disrupt my panda color scheme.
