What exhaust should I get (gtx2867r turbo)

Hi,

On my WRX I had a Magnaflow and it was awesome. A nice deep rumble, but not obnoxious.

I'm getting boosted on 10th Jan - aiming for 280-300whp.
Getting SME turbo kit with garret gtx2867r.

The piping is SME 3". I've tentatively ordered a 3" q300 because I'm old and not too much of a showpony and I do like a slightly sleeperish vehicle.

Are there better/other options that sound beastly but won't crank the dB to the point where house windows shudder and car alarms go off in a carpark?

I see the fugitsubo authoritive R - but it's another 1000$aud.

Also looked at greddy evo Gt.

What are my options? It's really hard to gauge sound levels and note from YouTube coz everyone is using random recording devices.

I don't want my exhaust to be too quiet - I want to hear it a bit. My concern with the q300 is that it may sound the same as stock from in the cockpit.

Along the same lines as what you are already looking at is the Perrin. Best recommendation anyone can give you is to find some other people at a local 86 meet and see what they have and how it sounds.

Happy with my Magnaflow, had it installed from early on. I think it was my first mod, actually. The stock exhaust was just too muted plus I wanted to delete the sound tube.

However, after headers and overpipe it was noticably louder. Then, after the supercharger I sometimes wish I had a Q300, particularly on the highway when it can get up there in decibels to the point that it's sometimes difficult to clearly hear the stereo.

I'd stick with your decision.

Side note: The less back pressure the quicker the turbo spools.
