A little yes. Many people have said that going with one size down has been very good, but only for those us us that have the smaller pulleys as the smaller belts won't fit the stock pulleys 75mm and up. No one has said it was bad from what I've read. Gates K061015 to K061010. With my 70mm I most recently went to the K061015RB as it's very slightly smaller but supposedly is stronger. I also tried the K061010HD but I couldn't get it on as it seems just a wee bit smaller than the K061010, thus couldn't get it on the pulley. So far for me all the belts seem to start squeaking after 3-6 months, but no issues beyond that. Since it's happened with all of them (3 belts) I'm thinking it's not hurting anything, just annoying.

After inspection, the valve seems pretty solid and fine. I mean, I wouldn't know what to look for, but everything looks the way it did on the day of install. Also, I hope it isn't as hard as figuring out how women work. Might have to take it to the shop in that case.

On my list for when my clutch goes is either the Exedy clutch & light flywheel or ACT Xtreme plate / organic disk & street light flywheel which is good up to 270tq. That will give a little breathing room if you go e85, or even more if you don't.

So I just finished my install with the 210 non-IC plus a few other things. After reading more and checking out stockysnail's chart, it seems I may have bit off more than I can chew. I'm back in school and DD the car, and it doesn't seem I'll be able to afford tracking it for several years. I don't want to do clutch or injectors any time soon.
In addition to the non-IC 210 I did e85, 72.5mm pulley, and Perrin 3" intake. I've had the OFH and Perrin overpipe also. Should I go up to the 80mm pulley? Limit fill ups with e85? I think I'd choose the former. What's the general consensus? Thanks. |

If the clutch isn't slipping, there should be no issue with your build. I DD my car every day, with the occasional street race against wrxs

Morning All,
Noticing a reasonably-strong smell of burning rubber/plastic/something-funky after hard-driving. It smells like a mixture between rubber and something metallic. It doesn't smell like clutch as far as I can tell, and i've looked under the hood. Can't see anything melting. Could it be brakes? Anyone else experience funky smells only occurring after hard runs? I can usually only smell it when getting out of car or with the windows open. With windows closed it is un-discernible in cabin. |

I've had a real s***storm of a week installing all of this once. Don't even get me started on the trouble I had with the dumb aftermarket crank pulley. Never even considering one of those again. |
