Yeah the 2jz/r154 is 250lbs heavier than our engine and trans I believe. Unfortunately most of the easy weight reduction is in the rear.

If you think relentless trolling is going to make anything happen faster you're wrong. 63 posts and join date of October. Sounds like a duplicate account just for trolling.

Maybe we should delete the whole thread and wait until its 1000% done then instead of a a build thread it can be a "done" thread.

For those of you who actually care about the progress and aren't just trolling and being ****s, we finally got the intake manifold for this car back and it is back on the car. We have the wiring harness 100% done but haven't had time to get it on the car. The owner of the car has told me he does not want the car back until at least February due to a lack of funds. I am still working on getting the car to start in the next couple weeks even without customer funds so that we can test everything out. Most shops wouldn't even bother but we still want to get the ball rolling for everyone else.

As always, thank you to those of you that actually care about the progress.

Don't let sh*tposters ruin something awesome for the rest of us.

Everybody here who works for a living, and works on their car, supports this build and understands time and budget constraints. We have to deal with them ourselves, after all. This build is still going faster than many of our own garage projects.

Good luck, and keep going.

...And everybody who watches a troll make a duplicate account to fake vox populi just laughs. If you have to invent fake people to get anyone to agree with you... You're either sh*tposting on the internet, or working for cable news.

What is there to gain for a shop to post about a vaporware car? Obviously they want to complete the project as much as we want to see it.

Keep up it up Pure Automotive!

The hot side is done and in the car for the last time! Everything fits pretty well.
We got our oil feed kit installed and the oil drain set up.

The down pipe and dump tube both fit and clear everything including the factory sway bar.

The engine mounts and trans mount are tightened down for the last time.
The radiator, fans, and shroud clear everything in the factory mounting position!

Talk about a simple cooling system, this setup converts the radiator hoses to use the factory radiator. Super easy install, I wish this was around when I did my car 2 years ago!

And just like that, the passenger side is done! I'm waiting on 2 more items before I can finish the drivers side, its mostly an order of installation thing, I don't want to have to remove anything again so I'm waiting on the missing pieces. Stay tuned and PS, we are putting all the swap parts together in one place on our site to make collecting things easy!

As always, thanks for following, staaaaaaay tuned!

It looks fantastic, guys. Thanks for sharing.

I'm curious why you didn't cut that metal coolant line and weld an barb to it to clean up that coolant path and leave more room at the front of the engine? Or, after a second look, why not go from the water pump outlet to the passenger side of the radiator? (that's not intended to be criticism, just questions.)

One word sums up both of those questions, Repeatability. It took me all of 20 minutes to install this hose setup, its super simple. Furthermore, the position of the cap and how it doubles as a filler neck is very important to minimize air pockets in the cooling system.

we did the same coolant setup on mine. once you get to the point where you can adjust everything for the final time and tighten it all up, it fits pretty well. its nice to have a couple parts already on the market to try. now that we have tested and verified that they will work, we can spend more time finishing the engine management package and intake manifold, and less time trying to design more parts.
