As they would say, as in critics, it isn't self built. But it was a concept I and it seemed another entity had and it came together. Another shop actually planted the seed and have been very helpful as well......The can- bus guru was found by another shop in Seattle who through this forum contacted me.......so this forum and car forums in general which many are critical of has been extremely helpful to me and I'm thankful for all involved, Truly wish you luck on your conversion.

Use the FiTech Ultimate LS ECU. It will be released next month. I am running it on my own swap and it is great.

Full self tuning kit with aluminum LS style intake manifold, throttle body, injectors, engine ecu & ignition box, wire harness, knock sensor control, boost control, etc. literally everything for only $1500. Designed, tested, and supported here in California. It's as kick ass as it gets.

It's a standalone EMS. Not meant to integrate with CAN systems. You can still setup your EPS, Tach, ABS with an Arduino, but no TC, Cruise, etc.

so besides the engine swap... what transmission are you getting? what about the drivetrain and axles, power steering, fuel system, cooling?? wtf happens to all that?
Although i wana do the same to my FRS this sounds like a nightmare and you"ll lose some of the luxuries that came with the car

You lose nothing. All OEM features work. It's expensive and time consuming, but not prohibitively so. A proper kit will supposedly exist... Eventually. For MT, most people use t56. TR6060's and TKO's get used, rarely. The frs differential is very robust. Power steering is electric and self-contained. It needs a few ECU signals to start and work. Stock returnless fuel system can be used, with a pump change only necessary for peak flow. There are plenty of pumps available off-the-shelf. There is plenty of space for a sufficient radiator... The stock A/C system needs 2 new compressor lines, but can otherwise be completely reused. Weight increase is negligible. The car needs only 1 sheetmetal mod in the transmission tunnel. It involves cutting a few spot welds and throwing away a small stamped steel brace, which can be replaced.
