Squeaky brakes bug the hell out of me, so I save the track pads for the track. The HC+ pad are excellent streetable pads from PMU if you're still wanting some better bite when not at the track. I'd swap the CRs back in before a trackday as part of a pre-track day ritual. Plus that give me a good chance to inspect everything before and after some track abuse.

Personally I feel using track pads and tires on the street is a bit wasteful. Much like running $10+/gal race fuel to drive in stop and go traffic when you dont require it. The stuff is not designed for commuting use, even if you could use it for that. Why waste "the good shit" and put up with annoying noises?

My choice would be to not push much at track, where i'm for fun, not results, and use interim hybrid pads & tires both on track & street (eg. ferodo ds2500 & MPSS, not track pads & low threadwear slicks). But my choice probably comes simply from laziness of wishing less work to switch to-from track stuff

What you're feeling is the increased coefficient of friction and stronger initial bite. 100% normal for a good track pad.

I've tried going that route more recently using 595RSR tires and HC+ pads but was left unsatisfied with the grip and the stopping power at the track... the setup worked great in the canyons, but just didn't hold up as well as I'd hoped under the abuse. I guess that's what happens after you get spoiled with "the good shit" lmao

Bed them in properly. If you purchased them from us, we can assist you. Thank you!

Same. I wanted to keep mine simple and went with HC800s. On the first lap, the pads were great, but the tires couldn't really manage, so ABS came in quick from the lack of tire grip.

Then towards the end of the second lap, the pads started dropping off rapidly, and I felt like I had OEM pads again. So, I said f*ck it. Now it's all upgraded and some new tires will help too.

It's so frustrating when you're coming up to a corner and you can't get the car to slow down the way you want it to. It can ruin your whole day if you aren't paying attention either lol

Words cant completely explain how I felt the pad. Dunno if i bed them in properly, or if I juz didnt get used to the new pad. OR, I cant heel toe properly? BUt with the stock pad, I can heel toe downshift no problem. Any idea guys?
The pads are more sensitive than your stock pads. You need to adjust your technique to match your new pads.

Club Racers on stock calipers are completely silent, properly bedded.

Because if you do it right, it'll 1. give you more opportunity to potentially avoid a bad situation (e.g. having to stop suddenly/unexpectedly), and 2. they're silent, properly bedded.

The value of my time, is worth more than the negligible amount of pad I use by keeping them on for street use. I'm sure your time is more valuable than that too. Don't forget the value of your time.

If you're doing a couple track days a week and much of your miles are in conditions where you require track pads/tires then that would be a bit too OCD. Though, an hour or 2 wrenching once a month or once every couple months is time well spent. I'm not looking to threshold brake from +100mph repeatedly on my daily commute where the majority of my driving is done. But hey, to each their own.

True, but I've noticed the same with my HC800s. They're 100% quiet most of the time. However, when it's cold outside and the brakes have no heat in them, they'll squeal a little bit the first couple stops. Hardly noticeable, but still there.

Doesn't bother me a bit, but I imagine the CRs would be the same.

Properly bedded on track they will be silent for a little bit, but noise will come back.
After a full day on the track mine are usually silent for most of the trip home (40 miles).
I almost never drive my car, so I've left my club racers on. However, if I drove more I would go back to stock/street pads while not on track.

I left my CR's on all summer, the noise isn't that bad at all once bedded. There is some noise on cold mornings (Canada, eh), but after a couple stops it's fine.

OK, maybe I just suck at bedding in pads. Both my XP8 and CR will make a subtle hiss after a track day and start screeching 1-3 weeks later. I previously thought that any track pad would scrape off the transfer layer (including any transfer layer from the previous pad) after a bit of commuting, due to being more abrasive at lower temperatures.
