Getting out of the city was a BITCH cause the roads were slippery as fuck, especially on top of the street-car tracks. I had a bit more fun once I got closer to home (Bolton) as we got more snow at my place, and my subdivision had not been plowed yet. So I turned the nannies off and had some sideways fun. Hope you got home safe too. Are you on snows? Cause it looked like you were on OEM wheels so I hope you aren't still on the Primacy tires or else I'm surprised you were able to move at all! Cheers!

Ohhh hell no. I have black steelies with xIce i3's hahaha I did the same. Got home turned the assists off and went sideways. Felts bad throwing snow on already plowed driveways hahaha. I got the strobes (tap turn or some crap) cause I pull over often and help at car accidents and what not for safety. It also usually gets people off my ass when tail gating. Easy mod hahaha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Yeah man it was interesting. At first I thought I was tripping out or the light was playing tricks with my eyes. Haha!

Spotted an RS 2.0 on steel wheels northbound on Trafalgar yesterday evening swerving through traffic and driving like a maniac. Cut me off and several others with no room to spare, forcing other drivers to avoid him/her - hope the owner isn't on here. Driving like that they will either crash themselves or take someone out with them when more snow comes.

![]() It's just the swerving and darting in between cars that I don't like at all as it's extremely dangerous. They weren't even skillfully avoiding cars, they had jerky movements from lane to lane cutting just centimetres ahead of other vehicles smh |

But if you don't want to be "that guy", then just don't post? That's like saying "I'm not a racist, but..." I understand the risks inherited with what I am doing. You don't know what my subdivision is like; houses all at least half a kilometre back from the road, and spaced out by acres in between them. I'm not talking about drifting in a densely packed residential area right when school gets out, with kids everywhere. Don't act all high and mighty like you've NEVER had your car sideways on a public road before, because I won't believe you for a second. That said, I appreciate the thinly veiled concern in your post and do agree that there is a line that must not be crossed between "responsible" hooning and downright reckless buffoonery (see Rakshaa's post above for an example of the latter). But no need to tell me to "reconsider (my) life choices" because I did a few snow drifts on a public road.

I've never been intentionally sideways on a public road. Parking lots? Yes. We all like to have fun in our cars. But, mitigating risk is more important than that. If you do truly feel it's safe to do that on a public road, then cool. I don't believe that there's a difference between hooning and buffoonery, I think that they're exactly the same thing. It's all good, I think I probably came off a bit strong with my original post, I blame it on being sent to Edmonton a few weeks ago for work, with the promise I'd be busy until the 16th. I've had days off since Saturday and it's hard to occupy your time in a hotel room when you don't have a vehicle.

All good, brother. You raise some valid points, and I'm sure there's quite a few members on here, and countless more people NOT on here, that could use that advice.
I try to be as careful as possible if I'm going to screw around. But you're right; there's no mitigating ALL of the risks. And no it probably wouldn't be worth it if I got caught or crashed. But that's why we as humans take risks. Whether it's sky-diving, white water rafting, or doing a few snow drifts. We know the risks, and we know that we'll probably regret it and pay for it if it doesn't go through as planned. But when it DOES go through as planned, nothing beats that rush. Cheers buddy. Again I honestly appreciate the concern. Quote:
