Marana (Tucson) autox

Did my second autox in the FR-S. Starting to feel better, the oversteer is really easy to control. There was a black BRZ Limited there, piloted by Victor, I am not sure if he is on the forum. He ran stock tire, and it was his first autox, but he was did pretty good.

Ran 37 psi front and 33-34ish rear on 215 Hankooks.

Really hoping to see a few more Toybaru twins out autoxing. The car is just plain fun autoxing. It likes being driven hard.

Marana did short runs today, about 50 seconds (normally in the low seventies).

I used to ride my bicycle out there weekly from Mesa, and then I pushed limits (passing cars on hairpins on the outside). In a car, I take it much easier.

I am indeed on this site . On stock tires, 38psi all around (stock) for the first two runs, then 38 front 35 rear for the rest of the day. Funny thing is that I was fighting with understeer, especially on the sweepers (might be/probably is just me though). I wanted to try 35 all around and lowering the pressure did help me from diving around like my first two runs and make the car feel more planted, but it felt like we were being rushed to finish as the last group .

I had a blast, though, and am dying for more seat time. I'm contemplating on going to the Sierra Vista event on Sunday, but I feel tired just looking at the 2.5hr drive to and from shown on google maps while knowing I'd have to leave before 6 to get there on time... but knowing it'll be worth it, I'll probably be there .

Even more important with MTB, I'm sure. At least in a car you're close to the road usually.

I've been tossing around the idea of getting back into biking, and I've been thinking about MTB. I was all about BMX when I was younger but I'm too big for a 20" frame these days lol.

Well, good thing we are mostly in the east valley. I do my best to avoid anything in the avenues.

Haha. Driving doesn't bother me one bit, I personally like to drive just to drive , this is one reason I own a bike , much cheaper to drive/ride lol

You should go to Taylor for the July 7&8 event. Lots of runs over two days. Check the azsolo dot com site for info.

Just spotted an orange FR-S on the US-60 eastbound on my lunch break. Looked like a test drive.
