I was at the Tokyo Auto Salon this year - the Pearl White TRD they had on display was glossy as far as I can remember - just like any other pearl white Subaru/Toyota.

My local Dealer has a blue GTS and it looks great, but I've always wanted a Pearl White Car

Only reason i'm going with White is it highlights the curves and bumps of the body shape, where as the the dark colours dont.

it makes the car look so much more aggresive.

The only reason I ordered the white is because I wanted that milky-quartz satin pearl. Anybody with one in Australia happy to do a shot where these cars don't get detailed, say under the boot or whatever, with plenty of light? Maybe someone who got one in pearl care to doublecheck their paint code?

If they're just fucking it up that's fine, I'll tell them not to detail the paint. If it's the local colour I might as well go to silver.
There has never been a production model in satin white. there was one BRZ shown in germany and maybe an 86 too, but it was just that, for show.

I've seen a few Canada-spec cars, never touched, and they are gloss from the factory.

Not sure what they did to the cars you saw in Japan.

Comes up a lot brighter in direct sunlight. I blame victorian winters. Went and saw the demo today and I'm a lot happier.

Maybe they're better prepped, glossier? Not sure. But ones I spotted in .JP came up with a flatter satin. However! The satin flare is there and that's what I was worried about. Thank christ that's over.

...now back to waiting until November/December.

Not my finest hour, I'll admit. I'll be around a bit more but I'll try and contribute a liiittle more usefully in future. Probably going to have this rig a while. ... well, that rig.

That rig which apparently I won't get until October (at the earliest).
