I've replaced my transmission, had the intake manifold off, and still didn't know it existed. :/

This thread has me seriously thinking about using the same efr turbo you did rather than the smaller 6758. Who can argue with full boost at 3500rpm.
I was originally going to utilise twin external wastegates with my twin scroll manifold so I can keep the exhaust pulses entirely seperate. I'm unsure how the borgwarner internal wastegate manages to vent both sides of the exhaust housing? Or maybe I am just over thinking it as I am absolutely sure people much smarter than I have designed this turbo

I was in the same boat. After seeing the two dynos posted here I was convinced that the 7163 was the way to go. The internal wastegate is pretty simple just opens up and dumps into the exhaust side internally. Another reason I liked the EFR. No additional piping needed for the dump.

And the bov just vents the boost back to the intake, not to atmosphere? Is anyone concerned about venting the boost so far from the throttle body?
I read on the borgwarner website that you can also run a normal blow off valve in conjunction with their item

We started a thread dedicated to wing development. Thoughts, opinions, options you're interested in, or things we should think about and consider are all welcomed additions to the thread: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=113438

I finished my short video of the Full-Race kit build, dyno, and 1/2 mile run. I apologize in advance for the lack of creativity and flare... very much an engineer and not a videographer. Someday... someday...
Anyway, I hope you enjoy . I like watching the wastegate actuator articulate, haven't seen that in many other videos.I'm headed to Indy tomorrow for PRI (Performance Racing Industry, like SEMA but more oriented towards performance products, I really enjoy it). Excited to catch up with a lot of friends I haven't seen in awhile .Thanks, Eric |

Alright, I'm back from PRI but unfortunately have been busy playing catch up on production orders and a few new designs. You guys come first after all
.Starting with a small update on my brake kit project: The yellow was burning/looking not good from the previous owner on the "AP Racing", so I took a tiny bit of time and colored in the letters. I like black a bit more than yellow anyway. ![]() We purchased a 3D scanner to help aid us in designing components for various chassis. We have been wanting one for over a year and we finally saved enough to purchase the unit we like for our needs. I have only used it on a single project so far but it's proving to be fairly intuitive and quick. ![]() Finally, for the holiday season, we wanted to do a fun CFD analysis. Behold... Santa Vader CFD Christmas Cheer!! We have a slight sale going on some of our products as well due to this time of year .![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Have a great Holiday season! But I do have the bellhousing covers in that we were working on from late last year. See this post http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...&postcount=147 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks, Eric Last edited by VerusEric; 09-17-2017 at 09:53 PM. |

Well, over the past weekend I forced myself to work on the car finally. We've been slammed in 2017 and time is just a bit hard to come by, but I really got tired of staring at the gorgeous brakes on the shelf.
Overall quite happy with the manufacturing and fitment! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() We have various small projects for Velox going on right now as well. I'll work on getting some CAD and prototype images up in the next few days. Thanks, Eric Last edited by VerusEric; 09-17-2017 at 09:58 PM. |

I finalized a design we liked last night for the LCA Auto Level headlight sensor. Below are CAD renderings. Off to the 3D printer.
