I have seen quite a few people in this thread purchase these kits. Any updates on how they have performed with some track duty? I am on the fence between sport & stage2.

Been holding up alright? Any issues with brake bias?

With the close price between sport and stage 2, it seems that if you have the rim clearance, the stage 2 kit is the way to go with the 6piston and larger brake pads.

The sport kit has been good for me. I haven't noticed any issues with brake bias, I know all of the kits are within 5% of OEM so I think it would take a very experienced driver to notice the difference at that level.

Need some clarification before ordering...

Running 18 x 9.5 +38 Enkie RPF1's and want to order Front/Rear Brake Kits. Sent an e-mail with all the same info and received this back:

Hi Jeff,

All our kits will fit these wheels.

Thank you!
Simon

Granted, I have not read all 39 pages, but did see a few posts that some kits are not compatible with my wheels. I can print out the templates, but thought there might be someone with the same setup that can provide a quick answer.

Thanks!!

The Stage 2 and 4 Front kits will NOT fit with those wheels without a MIN 5MM spacer. Even then, it is very close. The rears should fit no problem.

Hi everybody,
can someone confirm which spacer is needed in order to safely (5mm clearance?) fit the stage 2 behind stock wheel?

Thank you

5mm... that would be 20mm spacers... I run 15mm with barely any clearance without issues though.

I recall coming across it somewhere, but cant seem to find it now....

Can someone confirm bias numbers for the sport kit, and stage 2, with OEM rear calipers?

One is better than the other IIRC?

@Rafi@RR-racing

my rotors are still in great shape right now, but for future reference, where/what are direct replacements i can get for just the rotors? i have the sport kit and the description says its "STI OEM size", so does that mean i can just get a 5x100 STI rotor? just not sure if the hat height is the same or not...

thanks

I believe 2004 Impreza WRX STI will fit. That's what I remember from Rafi's email.

I'm interested in this too.
I'm evaluating the sport performance rear with a stage 2 front, but i remember a graph showing a big shift in brake bias towards the rear, so I'm a bit worried cause I'm on stock strut and weight transfer to the front while braking on track is significant.

The comparison was made using the base model rear disc (277mm solid) as a reference, I have the 290mm vented, so I think my situation is not that bad, however i'd appreciate a lot if someone can confirm that the car is safely drivable on track with stock strut (stock spring and everything) and stock size tire (r-compound)

Thank you very much
