Unless it had the engine from a Lexus ISF or LFA??
Then it might be worth it :P

IS-F V8 engine...plausible...lots of work though. I mean the for automatic would be a little easier...maybe, I'm no mechanic but since it's got an auto box from an IS-F. shouldn't be that hard, its just about fitting the block in some how, then program the ECU,right? (just guessing)

Kinda off topic but in that video did you notice that almost every car that drove by was shaped like a box?

I was in Japan two months ago for 2 weeks,

the J-spec Qube cars are everywhere in Japan,

Daihatsu, Toyota, Nissan, all the Jap manufacturers make them,

@davey90 - The auto gearbox IS NOT from an IS-F....... They say it is "IS-F inspired" which is a marketing ploy to make people like the idea of an auto.. Ie it has quick shifts and throttle blips. The gearbox is NOT the same though. This has a 6 speed gearbox, the IS-F has an 8 speed gearbox.... Verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry different. The 86 gearbox wouldn't be able to handle the output of the IS-F.
While, yes, the v8 swap is doable, it would be difficult. the engine is physically bigger, height, length. it would be heavier, the auto gearbox, or a manual (ie jza80 supra 6speed getrag) capable of handling the power/torque of the v8would be physically bigger and may not fit in the transmission tunnel. then there is the matter of the exhaust, the fuel system, the ecu, and the wiring.
