Massive difference in the snow and slush. Much of mine are worn away from speed bumps now though so may have to replace next year.

STI stuff it's more tuned for comfort on the street with a few tricked parts, for the track the TRD catalog has way more options like typical aftermarket offerings. I would say if you go with a short shifter, you should also change to a more stable clutch and stiffer sprung clutch cover. Otherwise you might go crazy when driving it fast with just a short shifter while the stock clutch isn't quick engaging to keep up IMHO. |

from what I understand it is cheaper to get the add ons when you order the car because then you can get whatever discount applied to those as well whereas ordering them later through parts you aren't going to get the same deal.

Yep. And if you bargain with the sales person really hard you can get them for free or cost. The guy at the parts counter is not going to bargain with you.
