Yeah and I think for most, race pads, lines, and fluid will be all most need. Brake ducting may also be required with high friction race pads.

Phil,
when do you expect the Hydra Nemesis to become available to the public? Does yours have full control over both the intake and exhaust cams? I assume it piggy backs the stock Ecu like the old Hydras did on the 04-05 STi's. Thanks -Eric

Phil, its too bad I didn't see you at Summit... I was coaching a couple SpecE30 racers on Friday. I took my car out (bone stock) for a session in the afternoon, just to try it out. I was echoing Pobst's comments. The car was fun, but would have been quicker if the rear were slightly more planted. The brakes went soft, but they did hold up. I didn't have ps issues, but I did have a stability control looking light flashing at me. I think it was the electronic brake force distribution doing its job. I could feel it adding brake pressure to wheels with the most grip.

With that said yes we have quad closed loop variable cam timing control. So far from what we've played with there is less range than the STi. I am running my FRS Hydra full stand-alone and waiting on some code to eliminate a couple dash lights and for the direct injection. We are still tuning and tweaking but a version could be available without 100% functionality in a couple weeks. |

Luckily the guys at Hydra EMS said they can tune the power steering for me to help with this issue because its only going to get worse when we are running high downforce. |

We need a car in the San Francisco Bay area this weekend or next for some CAN bus logging for the Hydra EMS. If you're interested in helping and want money or a discount on a Hydra please contact me.
Nothing invasive will be done to your car, just logging, and plugging a Hydra EMS in. |
