Went to a Veterans Day assembly today at my granddaughter's elementary school.

The 6th grade class kids lined the hall and shook the hands of all of us veterans as we entered the assembly hall.

The kids put on a nice presentation, although I doubt they really realized what it was all about.

I got a long stem rose and a handwritten certificate of appreciation.

It was a special day.

I salute all you active duty military and veterans out there.
