I don't have a car in front of me but I would assume it should be two screws holding it in from underneath the parcel shelf. Should be relatively easy access.

I do know a guy in Melbourne who does fantastic work and he comes to your place.
I will be happy to negotiate a price for the folks in Melbourne . Expect around $250 for decent tint. If anyone is interested please let me know. |

Sorry to clarify
My dealership is tinting my car for no additional cost I thought this would be a standard Toyota dealership thing, or maybe I just got lucky Then again I did buy from Peter Warren

I want that 3rd brake light removed completely... I know now its illegal to not have fitted when on the rd but it does take up a lot of vision through the back window... I dont think cops would notice either...

I imagine they would notice. However it would be pretty simple to build a less obtrusive one. LED's are cheap these days. Hmm I shouldn't give away good business idea's.

Too late millions of people beat me to it on ebay. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/48-Red-LE...ht_5192wt_1270
Victorian rules on the topic. SHould be the same australia wide. http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/NR/rd...7D/0/VSI13.pdf Basically it does appear legal to replace it. Might be worth considering to improve visibility and make window tinting easier. Last edited by ChocolateNick; 06-26-2012 at 04:22 AM. |

i confirmed today with the guys at Toyota, the only way to tint the rear window properly is to remove the parcel shelf completely.
