245/40-17 will be available in 2017. It's really not a popular size in Asia, hence the lack of availability.

Anyone ran 255/40 on enkei rpf1 17x9 + 35? I'm about to buy these on this size but read that it runs a bit wider. I'm lowered on coilovers. about 2 finger wheel gap front and rear running Michelin PSS 245/45/17 right now and -2 or -3 camber front and rear (cant remember). It sucks it doesn't come 245/40.

I just got these tires mounted the other day. Only driven them down the street but can already tell they are going to be awesome!

As everyone else said, they are NOISY, almost wasn't prepared for how noisy. The original review that said it sounds like a small plane following you around hits the nail on the head.

ive ran the RS-R ( 255/40/17 MachV awesome 17x9 +42) for one whole year. I was planning for the track however life came up and... i blew all the spare cash on the edelbrock supercharger haha.

In rain... these are absolutely fine with traction on. With traction fully off (abs ON) your foot is now the drifto on off switch, u can slide any corner you want. Drive like a normal person, and you will be fine.

In summer, once warmed up they are by far one of the cheapest grip tires out there. With the supercharger on, i cant get 2nd to chirp anymore.

the side walls are soft on the rs-r, so im waiting to find out how the rs-rr will do!

and yes they run approx one size up!

Yes like stated in the original review... Sounds like a small prop plane following you around.

I have a set of these on the way to my house now, and am anticipating my wife complaining about the noise, lol.

I'm running a set of these on my E39 540i.

On a FRS/86/BRZ they will be similar to worn RS3s in terms of noise. But for the price you cannot beat it.
