I guess the other option is if you can get a pin out, measure it and we will see what appears to match. I think if you just push on the curved exposed surface of the pin you should be able to pull it out the back. |

Took off the door, wasn't too bad.
The connector with male pins says: TK10M The connector with female pins(the mirror side) says B2-2 The pins look like they are about 1mm wide, but I couldn't get one out to be sure they are not 1.3 mm. |

I'm going to just bet they are 040 iii pins, and see if they fit. The spec puts all the dimensions about right, and they are at least listed on the toyota harness manual.

The female pin in the pig tail of the mirror harness is roughly 5/8" L x 1/16" W x 1/16" H.

That measures exactly like the 040 socket I got. Now to see if the one I found will lock in, but that will have to wait until the end of the week.
I plan on just running the wire into the mirror housing with some extra until I get around to getting the mirrors. |

I got some pins in, and here is an update.
I got AMP 040-3 pins and sockets for the connector from inside the door into the mirror. I used 316836-1 and A123027CT-ND you can get off digikey. There is a cover on each side of these connectors you have to remove to put the pins in. I then removed the mirror asssembly from the door, and took the electrical tape off, and was able to feed 2 new wires through(it is pretty easy if you straighten out the cable and run them one at a time). I just left some extra wire in the housing so I can put spade terminals on to hook to a heated mirror. For the wiring into the footwell I got Sumitomo 8240-4422 pins. They simply click in from the back. The problem is running the wire from the footwell into the door. The rubber channel the wire goes though is one rubber piece from inside the footwell to almost a foot inside the door. It looks I would have to remove the entire door harness to pull it out, and the number of turns makes feeding the wire through difficult. |

Well I'm getting dew on the side view mirrors again, so I've ordered the heated mirrors. Once they come in it will be time to do some wire fishing.

I got my passenger side all done!!
Once I get the drivers side done I will make a writeup if anyone wants to try it before I do a writeup, the most important tip is use the fish tape from the footwell up. I used 3x per side Sumitomo 8240-4422 Female 090III sockets (I found a big bag on ebay pretty cheap). You will put 1 in the footwell, and 2 will connect to the mirror glass. I used 1x per side TE/AMP 316836-1 040III socket ( got these from digikey, I couldn't find any info on what the sumitomo part # is for 20awg). This goes in the door where the mirror harness connects to the door harness. I used 1x per side TE/AMP A123027CT-ND 040III pin ( got these from digikey, I couldn't find any info on what the sumitomo part # is for 20awg). This goes in the door where the mirror harness connects to the door harness. Mirror Htr Relay 82501AG041 Several feet of 20 AWG wire. A few 1/2 pieces of heat shrink that will slip over the 090 pins Rexspeed heated/polarized/convex mirrors. -If you buy complete mirror assemblies you will not 2 of the 090 sockets, or the 040 socket. Multi-size crimpers. Wire cutter/stripper for 20 awg Nylon fish tape. Last edited by markitect; 10-11-2016 at 11:07 AM. Reason: Forgot to list the relay |

Second this, I am interested in running heated mirrors. I already have the mirrors with the heating element installed, but now have to run the wires. I have turn signals as well on the mirrors so wanted to do both at the same time.
