Valve caps?

Hello, I lost some of my valve caps and i'm worried some air seeped out. They had the N2 letters on it so will it be bad if I put regular air in? Can you mix the two?

The cap does not hold air in, it keeps dirt out. Any auto parts store will have some...

Air can be added to Nitrogen, No problems. The decrease in temp fluctuation/pressure: I dare anyone to quantify. Air is 78% nitrogen.

Correct, however moisture is the biggest cause of fluctuation in pressures due to temperature, and that's gonna be the real issue here

I paint, and my air compressor has a water trap. No issue.

Well, IDK about the OP, but I check my tire pressure. Wait.... I sense some sarcasm... Total his car for adding a few psi of "wet" air. LOL Good one!

Go a way1 is correct. Though the difference is hard to quantify if you are just adding some air to the nitrogen in your tire. Additionally, the air is pretty "dry" in Socal compared to Oregon or Canada...

Anyway, here is a link that explains temp change relative to tire pressure.

Nitrogen is a scam to get people to pay $20 to inflate their tires. Unless you are doing 200 MPH at the track, it is not worth the money. Nitrogen can be freely mixed with air.

Replace the valve stem caps, they protect the Schrader valve and threads.

Air does not leak past the valve. The colder weather this time of year causes the decrease in air pressure in the tires. It's no big deal, completely normal AS LONG is it is only 2-3 psi. If you have one tire that has more pressure loss than the others, check it out for a puncture.

What if one tire is a whole lot colder? The other 3 might be out of alignment.
