Let's face it, a lot of Subie owner look at BRZ owners like a red headed step child and all the Toyo owner look at FRS/86 owners like a traitor.

I remember when people claimed that Toyota saved Subaru with the FR-S / BRZ. If there's any truth in that then I don't see why any subaru fanboy would hate on it.

Saved Subaru from what? With what? The BRZ is not a high volume car and while I'm sure they make money selling them I doubt there is a HUGE profit margin on them.

Probably saved Subaru from technological obsolescence with direct injection.

@iamjacob Honestly I do feel silly saying that as Subaru was killing it 2010- before the BRZ showed up on the scene. Anything I might say is probably just grasping at straws.

But I'd guess it'd come down to Toyota giving them the opportunity for selling greater volumes of their new FA motors. Subaru was still considered a small company ~2012 so I'd say them moving the extra volume should have helped them out greatly.
