some cars it will be closer than what your seeing, their is a bit of variation in maf sensor between early and late model cars

you can scale maf of E85 but you need a consistent blend of E85 to do it else your trims will be wandering around with changing E% as well as maf scaling and temperature changes so you will just chase your tail.
I flashed the MAF scale with the same tank of E85. Do I still need to let the ECU learn or can I just go ahead and data log CL/OL now?

yeah each time you flash it resets the ecu learned parameters, so give it say 50 miles to settle down do so varied driving and three or so light throttle runs from 2000 to 5000 or so in second or third to speed things up.

Is the Perrin CAI illegal in Cali? I've seen that on a couple sites but not others. I like it a lot but I may not be okay with having it. It's on a lease... should I go Mishimoto or aFe or Weapon R.... very tough choices.

The inlet is worth it by itself, deletes all that nonsense sound generator tubing.

Yea the inlet hose is worth it as a standalone product. No tune is necessary for it either.

I will be getting the Perrin CAI to complete the inlet I already have installed. But I'm wondering if there will be any issues with MAF since my car is already flashed with OFT Stage 2+ UEL tune.

It is recommended to scale the MAF to get the best performance, but I ran a Perrin 2.5" CAI on the OFT Stage2 UEL tune with no problem.

Meh, I briefly looked into that stuff and damn its rough to get a solid grasp on. Should I just sell the OFT and get the car tuned in-shop?

First of, why you want CAI? Its proven with drop in panel filter and inlet hose give almost same result, just search. You can take that money and out towards other places

What "inlet" have you already installed?

Perrin inlet to get rid of the sound tube.

Some time after I installed the Perrin inlet hose, somehow a small dent (index finger sized) formed in my air filter box where the tube connects. Instead of getting the box replaced, figured maybe just complete the Perrin tube and add the CAI to it. Doesn't help at all that the hose clamps the inlet comes with are super thin and flimsy compared to the OEM one.
