I guess this thread should just be called the Spec Miata Discussion thread now. To D-Street we all go

"#20285 Keep SS amazeballs Per the SAC, add the following listing to Appendix A, effective January 1, 2017: SS Acura NSX (2017)"

I've reached out to them for clarification so I guess we'll see. It's rather stupid really.

For once, I'm glad my off-season is ~5-6 months. If I had to guess, I'll be raising the car up and running DS next year, but I never did get to try my car in full CS trim, so...
On the bright side, our car is THE car to have for DS now. I think a turbo Mustang/Camaro, WRX, and 228/328 M-Sport could work on the right course in DS, but we should not have any excuses in 2017. I still wouldn't want our car for ProSolos though.

DS is a spec 2015+ WRX class and was poorly attended except at Nationals. The ND Miata should be top CS dog after another year of development and revised transmissions that don't come apart.
They have excellent bottom end pull. I will predict the new 86 will not be much different in performance autocross wise to the 13-16 cars with the shorter gearing (more 2-3-2 shifts) on longer national type courses. I think the classing changes will even out attendance numbers in CS and DS... |

So is anyone actually planning on staying in CS with a TRD car?
Or is everyone jumping to DS? Or jumping to DS and trading in for turbo Camaros? lol
