After 3 months of waiting, I'm finally an owner. I've already put 130 miles on it in 2 days. I can't wait to get it broken in, shifting early is getting harder and harder to do - it just sounds so good from 4500 RPM and up!

GBS- looks awesome in direct sunlight, gets really bright. Then dark as the sun sets.
Suspension - much stiffer than I expected. I'm coming from a Nissan Sentra and a Mazda3, both stock, so it's a bit different. Handling is crazy good, I've literally been searching for roads with more curves.
Exhaust-quiet until 4000 RPM, then has a great rasp as the revs climb. I've been downshifting just to hear it more.
Interior- feels tight at first - I'm 6'1 250, but its actually roomy up front. Not used to sitting so low, and less window area, so it exaggerates the effect. Once I got used to the feeling it has been great. Plenty of leg/elbow/headroom.
Seats are FANTASTIC. The bolsters really hold you in. If I was any wider I'd be sitting "on" the seat rather than "in" it though.

Haven't touched the radio or Nav yet. I paired my phone to bluetooth and that's it. I don't even have the presets programmed. Bluetooth sound quality is good and the touchscreen has been responsive the few times I've answered calls.

At first, I was thinking either WRB or DGM. I totally dismissed Galaxy Blue, because I was thinking, if you're gonna get a blue subaru, you've gotta get rally blue. Now, I'm leaning much more towards GBS.

I've seen WRB and GBS is person, and I think the WRB is too flashy for me. I still have to see a DGM in person, but the GBS looks great in this thread, and if I were buying today is probably what I'd go with.

I feel like I'd get tired of the bright color, and would get too much attention from cops, ricers, and car-keying-douches.

Audi has a similar color called "Estoril Blue Crystal Effect" and it is gorgeous! I just drove an S5 coupe in that color and I had to gawk at it for a while when I parked it. Doesn't hurt that the S5 is gorgeous on it's own, but I want a car in this dark blue!

In your opinion... does this thread do GBS justice? Red for example is either unsaturated from a cellphone camera or glorified with some editing and a DSLR. I've kind of narrowed it down to GBS but that's assuming some of these pictures actually translate the color well

If you wanna get a Toyota part, it already comes in GBS but you have to paint it specifically to WRB if you really want that part.

Can't interchange parts like:

Toyota/Scion Outlet website -Trunk idk $500

Subaru Outlet website - Trunk $800

You can buy the Toyota/Scion version for less in blue than be forced to buy the Subaru version because it comes in a Subaru exclusive color

Yeah, there's some good shots here. It's a nice dark blue. I saw it outside on a sunny day. It didn't look purplish, which happens with some cars, but I can imagine it being a little purple on an overcast day or at night.

I just checked, there are no GBS BRZ's in a 200+ mile radius for sale. To me, that's good news because I like that this is one of the rarest colors!

Edit: Now there's 9 available in New England... drat!

Hello all GBS likers. I have a one on order and wondering if anyone has taken, or can take, some artistic photos of the BRZ in this colour. Would love some to help increasing the anticipation i am feeling for my car. Having to use a Subaru studio shot as my wallpaper at the moment, and it does not represent the colour very well.
