Can I heat the Scion badge from behind the hatch? I thinking that that may prevent overheating on the plastic of the badge.

How are you guys getting them to price match? the best my dealership can do is $30 on "90975A2003" and he said no way he can do $10 on the second one since its out of stock and having it shipped to them would cost them about $10 lol

Hey, so I'm planning on taking off my emblem since it's crooked - is it better to purchase a new emblem to put back on, or has anyone has success putting an old emblem back on? (I'm just worried about the tape staying if I put on smell pieces myself, as opposed to having the fully taped back of a new emblem)

Is there any difference between the Japan and US emblem? Beside where its made in?

And is the part number still the same? And anyone got the parts for the Japan emblem?

Thanks!

Holy thread revival !

So I'm in the process of converting my Scion FR-S into a Toyota. Already got the rear emblem, key, 86 AirBag. The only damn thing is missing is the front badge.

At my local dealer they have order 3 90975A2003 and it's always satin like some other guys mentioned. They have emailed Toyota about this and waiting for an answer.

I've got a 2015 Toyota Corolla and It's exactly the same part number from the parts listing. On my car it's really chromed and not satin !

Do you know if an other Toyota use this dimension of emblem ?

My wife recently bought me some badges on eBay. I thought that the front one was satin as well, however the bag itself was satin. When I pulled the badge out of the packaging, it was chrome.

It's worth a try. I was about to send them back but decided to open up the package and take a look see. You might get lucky.

Plot twist...I have a 2016 FRS and easily removed the rear embem. Then I worked on the front emblem and got all the adhesive loose such that I can even fit credit cards behind the badge. But the badge still won't come out - it is physically off the surface of the hood already but it is definitely screwed on in a way that is different from earlier FRSes. So right now I have a loose front badge that refuses to come off. Anyone have any suggestions what I should do? Am I going to have to have the whole front clip taken off just to get this darned badge off?

I had the same experience with my 2014, don't know if the 2013s were different. The emblem was rattling lose with no adhesive but was still attached at two points. It wasn't screwed though. The front emblem had locking pegs.

Slide a thin smooth piece of plastic underneath the edges to protect your paint (like a plastic credit card or something softer). Then just pull on the lip of the emblem with your hands until it pops. Start gently and then just increase pressure. The pegs should pop right off and is the reason. It was a little nerve racking for me as well, just go slow.

Does anyone know what material the badges/emblems are made out of? Plastic or metal? I want to get them all powder coated.
