Highbeam Tap

I have searched for days for a solution, maybe I'm blind, but is there anywhere I can tap for 12v highbeams? I know the DRL and highbeams are one for the stock harness. I need a dedicated 12v for highbeams. Planning on wiring my garage door opener to it. All things done except for this...

If u want it 12v or nothing, u need to have dealer disable the DRL

There isn't a wire on the inside either? Like around the steering column?

There may b and then a relay further along, but I've never pulled that part of the car open. Ur trying to set a flick to open the door I take it? If that's the case, y not do it on the traction button since a click of that is the same idea as a quick hi beam flash (if u only need it powered for a second that is)

I could do that, but I doubt there's enough room for the box I have the opener in.

There is surprisingly A lot of space down there. And if it's still not enough you could always just run extra wire and relocate the box somewhere else

I'll check that out. I think I'll run a transistor with low beam as the power source and the drl the trigger, since high beam triggers both. I'll lyk if it works out.

I wired it the way I said but with a relay instead and it works like a charm.
