Sounds a bit like you instigated it. If you have to floor it to make a lane change, it's probably not safe.

well light turns green and you want to get ahead using the performance of your car..i don't see how that is wrong or instigating anything if you show a turn signal and switch lanes without cutting the guy off...he seemed to get butt hurt over nothing

you saying he got mad i floored it and his old junk truck couldn't keep up to not let me pass?

but if flooring it in this slow car is considered aggressive then everyone has really become sensitive ...all the other driver had to do was see oh okay he is showing a turn signal and pushing ahead he needs to get into my lane i'll let him in..not try to keep up with me then get upset when i overtook him

not sure how else to explain it but sure i'll post it later when i can hook up the camera to a computer

If you use your signal I don't see what the issue is. Especially if you are going faster them is not like they had to jam on the brakes.

exactly i made sure to go faster so i don't cut him off and let him know ahead of time i want to get over by showing my signal..the only time he had to apply the brakes was to stop for the red light like me

That's about the only time I use a signal. If I don't feel they need to know I'm changing direction, I don't use my blinker. I'm sure it pisses off some people but, seems silly to me

i got into the habit of using a turn signal that i turn it on to switch lanes at night even if no one is around

I had three Lancers with over 300K each that never once had a part fall off nor a warranty repair.


My wife had a 2004 Sunfire that with 18K on it over a 3 year period had:


Both outside mirrors replaced twice because they shook so bad you couldn't see.
Front wheel bearings replaced.
Windshield wiper motor and mech replaced.
Interior mirror replaced TWICE.
Front bumper reclipped.
Driver seat track replaced.
Brake light wiring harness changed.


On the day the lease ended and we took it back the salesguy tried to talk her into an SUV. I told him after the quality issues with that car there was no way we were getting another Pontiac. He said "oh there are no issues with these" and closed the back door. The whole door panel fell off into the back seat. I simply said "I rest my case" and walked away.
