Yellow is certainly a very particular color. How well it ages usually depends on two factors. The first is obviously care. Yellow is very similar to red in that if it is not cared for, it will look very flat. But second is the shade of yellow. Taxi cab yellow will almost never age well. But lighter shades, if taken care of, can be beautiful. I always think of BMWs Dakar Yellow when I think of a perfect yellow.
I'm still leaning towards wanting a Series Yellow, but I am still reserving final judgement till I see it in person. The walk around video that's on YouTube really seems to show it as a lighter shade. Not quite as light as Dakar Yellow, but something that I still think would age well. |

As there will only be 50 yellows for Canada the chance of seeing one at a dealer and then being able to get one are effectively zero, they will all get pre-sold. |

I've seen different colors on this car. I still believe that the CWP suits the best. In general, it is not big car and you need a light color. I think yellow if it is not a dark one should also be nice. However, I believe that you should take more care of it. |

Lighter yellow is better. School bus yellow just does not suit a car (or a bus really - awful colour).
Also personally I am not much of a fan of solid colours for new cars unless they are totally retro in styling, solids just lack that extra dimension of richness. Vintage cars - well that is a different story, a metallic, mica or pearl finish would have looked ridiculous on the beautiful 70s-era Alfa Spider I walked by in a parking lot the other night. |

Just a quick story from my experience yesterday:
Been in contact with a sales rep at one of the dealers down here in FL. He knows I'm in the market for a 17 BRZ, so he called to tell me they have two in stock (auto and manual limited). What is surprising is when I asked him when he was going to get a PP in stock, He said the STI parts aren't available yet.... I cleared it up by telling him that I'm not interested in anything but the PP. He was oblivious at the package entirely and thought I was talking about some cosmetic options. I explained there is a package that includes dampers, wheels, and breaks for about 1,200 bucks and he said he would call me back. Should I look into a new sales rep or dealership? It's gotta be super easy for a sales rep to get a sale like mine as I already know what I want. I know these models are new, but if your calling to make a sale the least you can do is do some homework. |

doesn't matter as long as you get the price you're looking for. it's fun to play dumb and listen to them spin a yarn sometimes - "the PP is only available in Canada and is dealer installed option that you have to order the parts for" or something like that. |

Lol stuff happens when it comes to the dealer portions rarely but stuff does happen. For example I only ended up with a CWP because the ISM I ordered came in as an automatic instead of Manual lol apprantely the sales typed in the codes wrong. Oh well in the end still came out with a car at a very decent price. No regrets here.
