So I cleaned the whole car and the invisible glass ended up doing nothing. It is definitely on the windshield, because when the wipers were up I would use a microfiber and it would still be visible when wiping only.

I guess I should buy one of those rain x kits, but many have been advising nail polish remover as well.

you can always smash up your windshield with a bat in the middle of the night and then tell insurance the next morning someone vandalized your vehicle and get a new windshield

I'd take it into the dealership and get this documented as an issue with the vehicle while it's still new. They should fix it or replace the windshield.

My recommendation for fix would be lots more invisible glass and a clay bar, and then iron-X, and then using a DA polisher with a glass pad and glass polish. But I'd only go that route if I wasn't eligible for a warranty fix/replacement on the glass.

Well, you could try the "ultimate solvent" ........ acetone........

Just be careful NOT to let it get on the paint.

Have you tried following the procedure shown in the previously posted video ... ??

Have you tried the alcohol and/or vinegar yet? Glass cleaner will not strip off wax or sealant.

White distilled vinegar will help! 1 part vinegar 3 parts water and spray it down. I use this on all of my windows to remove hard water spots and it has worked for years

As others have pointed out it definitely looks like they used some type of wax or sealant on the window, and likely in an improper manner. Claying the glass should remove whatever it is. Worst case you'll need to polish the glass.

Here's another great video from Larry (AmmoNYC) about glass cleaning:

Thanks for the input guys!
Now that I think about it, while getting the paper work done I remember seeing the dearship salesman wiping the windshed and the paint with I belive wax because he missed some spots on the car paint itself.

I don't think I'll be taking the car to a dealership though, they'll prabably think I'm crazy and laugh for bringing in a car with water marks on the glass LOL

But I'll definitely buy the rain x kit and clay bar the windshield using the included lubricant without using the rain x water header. Will report back with results!

Good plan ....... and while you're out and about, I suggest you purchase a bottle of isopropyl alcohol to get the wax off your windshield.....

(just in case that fancy rain X stuff don't work ..... )

Would nail polish remover(acetone) work as well, got some at the house.
Also do you recommend applying the alchochol on a microfiber cloth or apply it with the clay bar along with the rain x lubricant?

Put the isopropyl alcohol on a microfiber just to test it out.

You are making this way more complex than it needs to be. Grab some alcohol and some paper towels and go to town. All this clay bar, extreme chemicals, special cloths, etc is not needed if you just have some sort of wax or coating on the glass. Hit it with some basics and if that doesn't work THEN start moving up through the food chain.
