I have paid very little attention to the update since I had no intentions of trading. I saw the exterior pics and a couple interior and that was it

For those who have driven the 2017 86/BRZ as well as the pre-facelift one, do you think it sounds much different?
As long as it doesn't sound like a tractor (my 2013 BRZ sounded awful stock), I'm happy.

But all direction injection engines sound like tractors at idle.

Good point. Although I never felt like mine sounded good until I had an axle back and intake.

FA20's D4S system has both direct and port injectors and uses simultaneous injection at low rpm. See here

Actually port injection at low rpm, direct injection at mid rpm, and both injections at high rpm I think.

I'm just glad I finally got a car that I can actually hear something without rolling down the windows.

Can't you find ethanol-free gas? I feel like the fuel pump is wearing out when I hear the crickets. Thankfully, ethanol-free gas is available in my area. So no crickets in my engine bay anymore.

well if that's the case, he's not wrong but the lower gears help you pass much easier because of more torque and uphill no less.

Anyone know what's going on in this video? Is this aftermarket stuff or is this some sort of special edition?

Thanks, I thought that was the case. The 17 looks really good with all of the TRD parts although the spoiler on the back may be a bit much for the street.
