Garage
Where I live ( near Toronto) a guy named Pat Cyr ( Cyrious Garageworks) has a full on stripped down drift car with a 2JZ running with a Garrett turbo ( 30 trim?) at ~500 WHP. He was the poster guy for Scion drift in Canada, I have some posters of him and his car hanging in my garage. He has a nice purpose built AE86 drift car as well.

If I had lots of cash to burn that would be my engine of choice over an LSX.

Sell your car, buy any other car that has a V6/V8 and rwd. Problem solved. No engine swap needed. Just swap cars

Any engine can go in any car with enough time and/or money.

Some examples:

Straight six in place of a flat-four will not bolt in, if that wasn't sufficiently obvious. But can definitely be made to fit.
