This works great for my light HF jack with 4" base:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-ea-Univers...-/231461452946

Tried hockey puck first but it didn't last long. I track and ax so use jack often enough. The ebay piece is easy to put onto the pinch weld by hand then jack can be aligned underneath. Great support, very happy with it

How does it fit? The depth of the cut didn't measure up (not deep enough) when I measured against the pinch weld. But maybe it'll conform to it since it's a PU material.

Fits very well. The thin bottom of that cutout provides all the support. All I wanted to avoid was metal on metal. Key advantage - easy to first put on by hand (stays on when you let go), align jack underneath, pump.

That's how most cars are. I feel like a dumb ass for bending my front left jack point a little. So Its always good to research before doing anything on these cars, because these cars are extremely sensitive

Not flimsy, you just have to double check it's directly on point or they might bend.
I bent it back not to long ago with vice grips, and today, I had the jack points on the lift while I was disarming for a clutch swap

Smile Thanks...

First planned project came to a holt when I looked under the car for an obvious jack point. Solved 5 mins later thanks to you.

Question: is it possible to get the car up on jack stands without a floor jack (just using the scissor jack that comes with the car)?
I'm guessing not because the floor jack needs to go in the pinch weld space, but if one is using that space for the scissor jack, it's occupied and the jack stand can't be placed there?

If you want a budget-friendly way to get your car on jack stands you can use an inexpensive scissors jack. Not as quick or as stable as a regular floor jack but it works.

If you're being that cheap you might as well use the one provided with your car in the trunk.

not sure

Well, you sort of misunderstood my question, or perhaps I didn't ask it successfully. But I've come up with a solution. Thanks for the assistance.

The one I mentioned can be used to lift the car at the differential or front-center jacking points, allowing the jack stands to be placed at the pinch welds.
