Interesting. I havn't noticed to many looks in my area either except when it was first being delivered.

Perhaps this is do to the fact I live in Monterey CA where they host the Concours d'Elegance, annual Porche reunion, Ferrari meets, the Monterey coast Corvette cruise, etc.... The good thing about that?? Always a nice car to park next to.

Yeah the only place thats open late for inspections around me happens to be a Toyota/Scion dealer. I took my BRZ there and all the service guys were like wow look at that souped up FR-S! And then one of them was like no that's just a BRZ. It was pretty funny, I think I might put scion badges on my car just to mess with people.

Please, for the love of god, do not put scion badges on a subaru.

I get into at least one conversation per day and get 1-2 thumbs up either at a light or on the freeway, also lots of stares.

This car gets a -lot- of attention.

A guy last night at a gas station said he used to own a bunch of late 90's Celicas and said he could see the Celica lines in this car. It was an interesting conversation.

Last night I picked up a pair of exhaust tips after visiting 3 locations in the area (barely got to the 3rd one before close.. heard them lock the front door as I found the aisle they were located in). On my way back home, an advantageously-timed stoplight turned green early enough for me to pass an aggressively driving Accord which had been stopped. When we hit the next red light, he gestured for me to roll down the window, and upon my compliance, his wide-eyed face asked "yo what the hell is this?"

After telling him the car came out last month and is RWD, I got a couple "get the fuck out!" replies, before he speculated that the car is going to be all over the drifting scene. I never got the chance to tell him Gushi's already been whipping this thing in Formula Drift, as the light turned green and we went our separate ways.

Definitely the most amusing encounter I've had while driving it on the road, so far.

Good think the styling was done by Toyota... then no one will be wise to you if you do

Actually I was stopped at a red light and the car next to me starting honking, so I looked over and there were some ladies yelling at me in Spanish. I couldn't make out what they were saying so a younger girl in the back seat was like "she wants your phone number!!!" Unfortunately they were a little old for me, but this never happened in my old car

The only thing that annoys me is when people ask if it has a turbo, or how much power it is.

I've been asked at a number of times whether it had a V6 or V8 under the hood (always makes me chuckle.. does it look like it has ample room for something that large?). After explaining it's light, nimble, and meant for the curvies, about half of the interested people lost interest. Still, I'm surprised that percentage is as high as it is (I figure looking at sales estimates of the Lotus Elise vs. Corvettes is a pretty good comparison for the BRZ/FRS vs. Mustang/Genesis, based on differences in car types for comparable prices).
