A couple of our team members have been getting seat time drifting our BRZ. A lot of room for improvement, but starting to get the hang of it.

Don't think I've ever posted here, idk. Started drifting this year in March, have done pretty much event in STL at Gateway Motorsports Park, including Street Driven. Car just has your typical intake/exhaust/coils/RLCA's/OFT. I wish I had started doing this right when I got my car, most fun I've had while owning it. Can't wait to work on adding more parts over winter, my goal is to make it up to either a ClubFR event/Final Bout or Gridlife next year. Follow me on instagram fam: @Wilkyway_frs
Anyway, pic dump: Street Driven STL I had this one made into a print for over my couch: Random other ones (2 IFO's, 2 Drift days, Midnight Madness)

On a related note: it seems like I get a TON of body roll, especially for having coilovers. I have ST coils, which have pretty soft springs and no dampening adjustment. Also, stock sway bar end links. Would getting shorter sway bar end links help with the body roll? I plan on getting new coilovers this spring (these have had a hard 35,000 miles and the collars are siezed). I'm hoping stiffening up the suspension a bit will help with transitions, right now on quick transitions I almost have the force the car to correct.

And it does look like you're getting quite a bit of body roll, more than I've seen out of these cars drifting (Not even talking about pro cars) Is this also your daily?

I drifted this platform so far with Completely stock suspension Springs Coilovers Coilovers + supporting suspension mods and a proper alignment and I will tell you that a halfway decent set of coilovers and a proper alignment and cornerbalance will make the car MUCH easier to drive when drifting |

-Coilovers with 8k/9k springs
-RLCAs -Tie Rods -Alignment -Headers + Tune ^The 5 steps to have an absolutely awesome car that's reliable, easy to drive, and loads of fun. All can be done for about $2,500 - $3,000.

^^^^This should be a sticky at the beginning of this thread. I definitely need new coilovers. These ST's are great for daily driving and backroading but are way too soft for how low I like to be. I have the Megan spaced inner tie rods sitting at home waiting to be installed. Probably going to try to get some adjustable sway bar end links too.

Just got sent some more pics from IFO. Turns out, if you use not-prius tires you can actually get tire smoke! who knew?!?
SO. MUCH. BODY. ROLL. No wonder I have so much trouble with fast transitions.

When you install the tie rods, you may get some bind from the end links. If you do, your two options are to run a specialized (custom) setup that mounts the end link to the LCA, or to just ditch the front sway bar altogether. These cars are actually a bit snappy on transition anyways. Excessive body roll doesn't help. Ditching the front sway bar helped cure that issue for me. Could go lock to lock at full throttle and the car was pretty well composed.

A toe hook/strap is required at the track I'll be going to.
For those with a drift armor bash beam where is the best place to mount it? |
