Eh, that is one loud electric motor if true. Though I agree when it comes to a stop there is some kind of whine. It may have been running through the parking lot on electric power alone.
Alternatively, that same noise is present when it first takes off and I am thinking it sounds similar to a torque converter locking up - I assume an 8-speed ZF. The shift quality doesn't indicate a DSG. Also as acceleration continues, that same 'electric motor sound' becomes more pronounced which matches the qualities of a V6 being muffled by turbos. If an electric motor is present, color me surprised. I can't argue the sound quality does indicate something else might be going on. Or it is just a so-so V6 and they have a lot of work to do to make it not sound like a refined GT. |

Yeah, and....hopefully it doesn't go in the Supra. Just....twin turbo V6/I6. That's what the world wants. Quote:

If you clean-up the tail light and exhaust tip designs of the LC it will look very Supra, looks more old Supra than old Soarer actually.

This what an FRS is transformed, when the factory adds more power.

The LC shape looks very similar to what the test mule looks like, especially the trunk/quarter areas.
Edit: Looking closer at the mule, I'm blind... lol. For all we know though, this could be a Z5 mule and not a Toyota mule at all. Last edited by jlugo711; 09-22-2016 at 08:58 AM. |

Roadster vs Coupe debate There are slight differences in the lines of the hood and doors. ![]() Not to mention the convertible clearly shows BMW's kidney bean grill. The coupe has the FT-HS / FT-1 / facelift 86 nose. |

Nice job, thanks.
I see on the mule there is a fair size protrusion where the taillights are that isn't on the paint rendering you did. Possibly also similar to the concept car.

Excellent job. I like this more than the concept car, and way more than what my mind undressed from the camouflage photo. Still a little too rounded for my taste though.
