Strange thing is, although dealership says theres no point in giving me the tracking number as my order has yet to be confirmed (im supposed to get a revised trackimg number after order is confirmed in one or teo weeks), i already have my VIN number provided printed on the contract. I only ordered mine 1.5 weeks ago. What does this mean?

It helps when you realize the tracking is an estimate only. Not a guarantee. Personally I'm waiting for an official update from TMCA regarding production.

How do you have a VIN for a car that hasn't been built yet? My car was ordered two weeks ago and I have no tracking info, but have a login and can seer the order. These contradictions just on this thread are kinda alarming. I'd love to see some consistency amongst the dealer network.

There were quite a few people who were given VIN numbers from what I was hearing a week or so ago. I also dont understand how a car that doesnt exist can have a vin lol.

Well I was given a VIN but the first two characters are "ZZ". I was told only once the car is built the letters will be replaced by numbers. No idea why they do this but I'm not too fussed.

Haha ok that's pretty useless then.

I've now asked my dealer for web tracking information 3 times. Each time he says its not available. Should I be concerned?

They are being lazy! Ask to speak to a different person. It seems everyone you speak to has something different to say. Pretty appaling service right across the board if you ask me. I dont like hating on industries in a generalist fasion, especially because I know there are some good people on this forum in the industry who go out of their way to do the right thing by people, but it's as if these people go to work to sit on their arses all day long.

ask to speak to sales manager or stock controller, yell, kick and scream till you get it. there is no reason why you shouldnt have it by now
