So the Mustang is next best thing to a RS200 when it comes to car control?

Probably going to get my hands on a 2018-2019 Mustang GT after I get my house. The refresh is looking promising so far, but I'm interested to see if Ford is going to direct inject the Coyote on the refresh or wait for the S650.

These engines love boost too. They're crazy fast with Whipples as long as you get the wheel hop issue fixed.

Why not an Alpha Camaro?

A Faster Horse: Documentary on the Mustang on Netflix

Great documentary that's now on Netflix - shows us the passion and love that go into the designing and building of great cars, in this case, the iconic Mustang.
Would love to see one on the Toyobaru, but this video certainly makes me want to go out and test drive a Mustang (even more than before).

Very cool inside look at the latest Mustang's design, and the people behind it.
Interesting to note how everyone in the video refers to it as "Mustang" instead of "the Mustang," almost as if (the) Mustang is a brand unto itself - I guess that's not far from the truth.

Yeah, for some strange reason, they didn't attract the Mustang-pedestrian attraction...

I watched this a few months back, well put together for sure! The pressure/stress these design teams go through is insane!

I may. I created this username way in advance before the 2016 Camaro released. I was pretty hyped for it and got a bit let down because of the visibility issues and just generally wasn't too impressed overall. They priced them too high with too many features. They are amazing performers, but when you get into that 45k bracket you have many choices.

I have yet to drive the 2016 Camaro, but I drove the 2016 Mustang GT with the performance pack and loved it. I'm 6'6" and the leg room was amazing in that car. Pretty sure it has the most legroom against the Challenger and Camaro.

Those tail lights seem so odd on the mustang.

God I want a v8.

The whine is the last thing you hear before they plow over medians, into crowds into oncomming traffic and even into their own line of traffic at shows. I've seen it a hundred times at Mustang shows I attended when I had a GT

I just picked up a 15 GT with the roush supercharger on it. Almost identical numbers to that dyno there. 641whp and 554 ft-lbs. It is an absolute handful but my god the sound makes you instantly drunk. I wish the 86 pulled like it lol

Bright Yellow Shelby Mustang GT350R Owns The Streets

[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3a8RxWeFHNs"]Quick Drive: 2016 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R (w/ Randy Pobst) – Daily Fix Free Episode! - YouTube[/ame]

Quote:
Despite being unveiled almost two years ago, the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R continues to amaze journalists and owners across the United States, particularly thanks to its special engine.

That powertrain comes in the shape of a 5.2-liter naturally-aspirated V8 which for the first time in Ford's history, has a flat-plane crankshaft. It also happens to be the most powerful naturally-aspirated engine the automaker has produced, delivering 526 hp and revving all the way to 8,250 rpm.

Most recently, Carlos Lago and Randy Pobst from Motor Trend pounded the pavement in a bright yellow example to discover how it performs on the street, away from the racetrack where it is perhaps most at home.

At its launch, the GT350R represented Ford's answer to the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 which itself pushed the muscle car industry into previously-unseen territory. Soon, however, Ford's contender will face stiff competition from the next Z/28, tipped to be even more powerful and track-focused than its predecessor.

Hurst Builds A 750HP Limited Edition Ford Mustang For SEMA

Quote:
Hurst’s white and gold paint scheme has been synonymous with performance in road-going cars ever since the 1969 AMC SC/Rambler, and now it shall adorn the 2017MY Mustang.

Hurst is best known for its performance enhancing products, but being an OEM supplier as well has resulted in the American company collaborated with a few automakers throughout the years, releasing a number of limited edition cars. Its latest project is this stunning, supercharged Ford Mustang, dubbed the R-Code, created in collaboration with Kenne Bell.

Hurst says the vehicle is infused with its DNA and Kenne Bell’s 3.2L, twin-screw, liquid-cooled supercharger, resulting in a gentleman’s hot-rodder. At 750 HP, the modified 5.0-litre Coyote V8 315 HP more than standard. And that’s with the stock unit - with the 4.7L component, power reaches an incredible 1,500 HP!

Of course, it features a plethora of other enhancements, including a 3-inch Flowmaster stainless cat-back with dual exhausts, Kenne Bell injectors, fuel rails, and so on. The ride height was reduced by a set of Hurst lowering springs and the tuned 'Stang has been fitted with a set of chrome plated 20×9 and 20×10 Hurst Stunner wheels with golden accents. Moreover, the rear spoiler, side splitters, vertical aero fins and rear diffuser all contribute to a more aggressive look.

Only 50 Hurst Mustangs will be built and they’re all perfectly street legal to hoon drive.
