I want it to be a bad installation of the oil pan but I fear there may have been more damage. I don't know how, though. I forgot about your valve. It didn't look that bad.

Clean up, more careful driving, listen carefully for noises and especially, watch the oil level.

No matter what, it can be fixed.

Well now, maybe when you slammed the Fumoto valve, it messed up the threads OR it cracked (hairline) the pan OR the pan got distorted so it doesn't fit good OR ...... the suspect leak has nothing to do with the oil pan ......

I's still take the pan off for further examination.

Well, I guess chalk it up as mystery oil. Running strong and not leaking. Thanks guys.
