Anyone else's car insurance going up year after year?
I have Wawanesa which was pretty cheap back in the days, I paid $1050 in 2013, $1100 in 2014 and 2015 and now I just got a renewal quote for $1330. This puts it right in line with AAA (well an old quote from 2 years ago lol). I'm 31 yo, no accidents and this is my only car.
Time to shop around I guess, but 2 years ago Wawanesa could not be beat. |

It depends on where you live, as well. It was significantly more expensive to insure my car in Las Vegas than it was in Delaware. So if they've had more claims in your area than they used to, they might consider that area more if a risk now.

yeah im with MErcury. Garbage insurance on the state minimum requirement... jumped from 210 to 220 per month -_-

If you haven't been shopping around every time your insurance policy is up, you are a victim of "price optimization".
http://www.npr.org/2015/05/08/403598...r-can-cost-you I thought the increases were solely due to the FRS drivers in my area getting into wrecks, then I generated a new quote for myself, with my own insurance company, and saw that the new quote was $200 cheaper over six months. shop around. shop your own insurance. It is the only way to ensure that you are getting the best rates. |
