Cracked OFT screen today, what should I do now?

Hi guys, I accidentally dropped my OFT and the screen is cracked! It still does display but touch screen does not work.

I am still in E85 tune and I need to change it back soon because winter here is cold and I need to do maintenance soon.

What should I do now? T_T @Shiv@Openflash

unfortunatly my unserstanding is the OFT which is actually a Alientech powergate 3 device is not repairable.

however shiv has offered a replacement unit for about $250 to people who have damaged the original as you have already paid for tune access.

you could also try alientech usa they may repair but doubt it

Oh damn

What about the tune then? The original tune is in my broken OFT, so if I get a new OFT, how do I marry it to my car?

New oft will still marry up to car no problem, but your "stock" tune will become the E85 UEL tune that's in ECU now.

Unless you know someone with a tactrix cable who can flash you back to stock

no will not work.

tune is flashed to memory in ecu, it does not get reset on power removal or reset.

You need to reflash new tune to ecu to overwrite old one.

on power disconnect or ecu reset only clears the RAM area , this is only learned parameters and CEL codes

have a read of Flashing-Reset-Learning link below

OMG I am so screwed! On OFT manual it says I should always flash back to stock before going back to dealer for service. Now I do not even have a stock map anymore? So if I go to dealer and dealer touched my ECU then my new OFT will be useless again?
And if I unmarry my OFT the car will always have E85 map?

Is there a way I can just replace a screen or extract data from the broken OFT and transplant it into a new one? @Shiv@Openflash

no problem I have most of the stock maps.

just let me know your original ECU calibration ID and I give you the stock map.

You can then just load that stock map into the OFT into one of the "tune" slots.

Just flash that before service :-)

or option B

Buy a Tactrix adapter

www.tactrix.com

read the Tactrix link below, then you can flash your ecu with whatever you like.

most of the stock maps are at end of the tactrix link post below

It is so nice of you sir!
Just curious is Tactrix able to write OFT tune files to ECU?
